This new double lesson for 2023 focusing on hate crime and hate speech in the UK, how it is legally classified, real life examples, how it affects the victims and where we can go for help and support if we experience or see hate crime happening. Students will investigate case studies, analyse instances from clip tasks, evaluate the results of government surveys and discover why there are debates surrounding the increase in UK hate crime. This is half term one of the EC Resources Complete Year 7 PSHE Pack. This bundle includes 6 hours’ worth of lessons and an additional two introduction lessons (one for PSHE and RSE, the other as a general introduction to starting Secondary School). It also includes a detailed scheme of work and an assessment pack, full of optional assessment ideas.
All of the lesson packs are complete with detailed, well-differentiated and easy to follow PowerPoints, accompanying differentiated worksheets, information sheets, clip links with questions, plenaries, clear LOs, starters and engaging activities. A 25 minute Tutor Time session created especially for LGBT+ Month (Feb 2019). This is the fourth of six sessions to be used throughout LGBT+ month, each focusing on and exploring the culture and history of a different aspect of the LGBTQAI community, from Lesbians (L) to Intersex (I).
The session contains three challenge learning outcomes, slides of easy to digest information, a clip task with differentiated questions and final reflection task. The session is editable and been created to be perfect to just pick up and use.
